Israeli 3D Printing Firm Designs Fashion Forward Neck Brace For Wounded Soldier

Moran Barashi was a canine handler in the Israeli Air Force when she was in a car accident that flipped her jeep. Barashi woke up in the hospital, with no memory of the accident, but the repercussions were severe. For twelve years she has suffered with a neurological injury that causes frequent tics in her neck and pain that runs continuously throughout her body and disrupted her everyday life. A team of Stratasys® volunteers decided to help Barashi find a better solution to the standard heavy, stiff medical support collar that was she was given by using 3D printing PolyJet™ technology to create a scarf which served as a stylish support system on a fashionable fabric allowing her freedom of movement. Barashi says Stratasys created hard, medium, and soft options in different designs which looked good and worked for her physical need.
