The Peugeot Advanced Design Team embarked on an ambitious project to redefine the future of electric vehicles with the Inception Concept. This initiative aimed to showcase Peugeot's vision for electric mobility, highlighting a revolutionary interior design that mirrors the marque's new electric vehicle architecture. The concept's minimalistic cockpit was crafted to enhance the driving experience, blending function with aesthetics in line with Peugeot's design philosophy. Peugeot utilized Stratasys's J850 TechStyle 3D printer, enabling the creation of semi-transparent 'micro-architectures' that allowed for a unique marriage of functionality, texture, and aesthetics. This innovative approach utilized metallic shades for velvet, designed to interact with light and embody a futuristic essence. Through Stratasys's 3DFashion technology, Peugeot achieved a distinctive interior featuring immersive seats made from 100% recycled polyester, adorned with striking 3D patterns, and extended onto a visually impactful floor mat, showcasing the potential of direct-to-textile 3D printing in reimagining vehicle interiors.
